Noemí Quezada Award 2015 to the best master’s thesis on Otopamean peoples

coberta_ClarobscursItzel Vargas Garcia, a current collaborator of Linguapax Latin America has been awarded the 2015 “Noemi Quezada” called by the Organizing Committee of the International Colloquium on Otopamean for her work ups and downs in the linguistic revitalization of hñähñú in the Mezquital Valley.” This thesis submitted for the Master’s in Anthropology of the National Autonomous University of Mexico was conducted in collaboration with representatives of four indigenous Otomi communities, in order to reverse the trend towards language shift and endangerment.
