New Delegation: Linguapax Central Eastern Europe

Linguapax is reaffirming its transnational vocation by focusing on the growth and enhancement of its International Network, which has recently installed a new Delegation for Central Eastern Europe at the Center for Research and Practice in Cultural Continuity at the Faculty of “Artes Liberales” of the University of Warsaw, directed by Justyna Olko.

 

Both organisations share the objective of promoting linguistic rights and multilingualism in order to further understanding, exchange and respect between cultures and nations; raising awareness of the importance of language as a core element of the cultural heritage of humanity; enhancing the cultural diversity and intercultural understanding; contributing to preservation of languages and monitoring the implementation of language revitalization initiatives, language policies and language planning; promoting research and multilingual education; fostering positive ethnic identities and integration of immigrants respecting their distinctiveness and languages, supporting local communities and implementing ethical and decolonizing research and socially-engaged practices.

The goal of the collaboration is to jointly implement programmes, projects and/or activities of common interest in the field of language diversity, language policies, multilingual education and the revitalization and support of endangered languages.
