In the era of communication and information, the crowning glory of the global village we live in, social cohesion in very democratic terms has become the driving force of future public policies.

Form this perspective, all language policies (even those that aim to abolish all language policies) play a decisive role: modern societies, i.e. individuals and groups, are clearly moving towards multilingualism as the core of cultural and linguistic identities, destined not at confrontation, but to coexistence and mutual enrichment.
