Conference on the UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions
One of the UNESCO Centre of Catalonia's tasks is to advise Public Administrations on how to apply UNESCO's ideals, documents and activities in areas such as cultural, religious and linguistic diversity.
For this reason, the UNESCO Centre of Catalonia and the Catalan Government (Generalitat de Catalunya), which already adopted the Convention's principles and promotes its implementation in many fields, are organising a conference on the UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions. It will train members of Catalan Parliament on how to apply the Convention. The meeting is aimed at politicians and technicians working in the field of culture, and members of the Catalan civil society interested in the subject.
It aims to spread the Convention's main principles and instruments and analyse the consequences of its implementation in Catalonia, from the point of view of public policies.
