Discover America´s First languages
Recently launched site Our Mother Tongues features the vibrant cultural revivals that are taking place in 12 Native American communities. The site has a host of videos with tribe members describing cultural discoveries, a blog, and provides information on festivals, schools and other ways that tribes are reclaiming their heritage. Visitors can also send oral e-postcards in the featured languages and can explore interactive Google maps wich locates the tribes and provides photos and information about the community.
Check back frequently as the site hopes to add many more features such as many more language programs, interactive story-sharing opportunities, podcasts, mobile media and more.
