Call for Papers:
Papers are welcome that deal with varieties of English spoken in the
United States. Presentations may be based in traditional dialectology
or other areas of language variation and change, including pragmatics,
sociolinguistics, historical linguistics, anthropological linguistics,
language and gender, or language attitudes and ideologies.

Submission Instructions:
Email submissions only to the address shown above; send the abstract
as a Microsoft Word attachment. The abstract should be no more than
500 words, excluding title and references. Include the word count at
the end of the abstract and omit any identifying information (name,
affiliation, etc). Include contact information, affiliation, and
abstract title in the body of the email.
Membership Requirements:
Membership in SCMLA is required to present at the annual conference.
