Requirements: Diploma/degree in Languages, appropriate working experience, knowledge of the Public Service Act, public Service Regulation, financial manual, treasury regulations, prescripts from the Department of Public Service and Administration and National Language Policy Framework, computer literacy, report writing skills, hardworking with the ability to work independently.
Duties: develop and facilitate the implementation of a language policy, provide advice on language usage, translate and edit documents, facilitate the provision of language training courses, eg. through language research and development centres, provide advice to managers and staff regarding language use, application of Language Code Conduct, translation and interpreting and promotion of multilingualism, facilitate the dissemination of new terminology to the users, audit of language skills and capacity of existing staff in the department, manage and develop staff, compile budget inputs.
