The old langauge of Britanny in France has a had a rough history with the French state since the Revolution, and following the discrimination after World War Two with 250.000 speakers left and a projected 10,000 dissapearing every year.

UNESCO has listed it as severely endangered, however there seems to be progress on the the horizon as new laws for preservation are being discussed and lobbied in the government.
