The new policy which will have Chinese as the main teaching language in schools by 2015 may result in grave socio-economic consequences among the Tibetan population in China. This could prevent most Tibetans from being able to adequately compete in the education and employment arena as the Han Chinese will always have an unfair advantage over them in all sectors.
