“the suspects offered defense in an incomprehensible language”

The problems of injustice and lack of freedom continue to plague the Turkish-Kurdish relations as tensions seem to be rising among both sides. The parents of some hundred out of over a thousand political prisoners are protesting the lack of equality in court with the trials criticised by the the Kurdish population. The court session was halted as a defendant began to recite his defence in Kurdish.

“is it possible to call Millions of Kurds terrorists?” a protester has said, showing the lack of distinction between the PKK and the general Kurdish population.
